Autumn Senses

I see the leaves going down to the ground
I hear the wind passing by
I taste the trees and stuff
I smell the foxes and hedgehogs
I feel the cold air

I taste hot chocolate when I’m inside
I smell the cold Autumn air
I feel lots of golden leaves crunching in my fingers

Here’s a story from one of our boys … we think he could be a great action script writer …

The Big Battle

Something strange happened while I was walking to school.

Five Platypus Raptors attacking a Sunhand Snake from the Valley of Bones and Feet. The Platypus Raptors were the ones with the beaks and big floppy tails and the huge claws. The Sunhand Snake from the Valley of Bones and Feet was the one with the sun hands and ten feet and huge fangs. The raptors were fast and speedy.

I hid under a flax bush and watched the battle. The Sunhand was a little bit slow but had a long whip-like tail. One raptor skidded under the Sunhand’s feet and tripped it up. The raptors names were Gaz, Hizanar, Anz, Guts and Oozararnar. The Sunhand’s name was Mazzer. This laser thing tattooed Guts and Gaz. Gaz bit Mazzer so hard that he jumped up into the air and landed head first on to the ground.

“Man!” said Mazzer. “What’s Guts and Gaz up to?” Guts and Gaz grabbed their hands and made tornadoes and hit the Sun hand snake from the Valley of Bones and Feet’s face!

“Ouch!” yelled Anz. “Something’s got my tail!” Gaz’s long tail hit a bug biting the tail of Anz. “Thanks,” said Anz, “now let’s go kick some Sun-hand Snake butt!”

My friend Corbin was a bit late and saw the battle and hid under the same flax bush I was hiding in. Me and Corbin zoomed and got whacked by Quinn.

“What’s the hurry?” snapped Quinn.

“We’ve got something to show you,” said Corbin. Quinn ran back when Gaz head butted Mazzer. Mazzer walked back into the battleground. Me, Corbin and Quinn watched the battle still.

Gaz’s leg-claw spat venom on Mazzer. “SUN CRUSH!!” yelled Mazzer. One of his huge sun hands lifted the sun and shot fireballs at Gaz and Guts! They dodged the fireballs.

Gaz yelled “TRAIN RUSH!” A flying train smashed Mazzer’s face.

Hizanar yelled “LASER BLAST!” He blasted lasers at Mazzer.

“FAST ZONE STING!” yelled Anz. He smacked Mazzer’s feet.

“MILLION LAND DANDELION ATTACK!” Guts yelled. Lots and lots of dandelions attacked him.

Oozararnar yelled really loud, “COMET BLAST!!!!” A huge comet smacked on to Mazzer. Mazzer was dead.

Me and my friends tiptoed to school.
